The founder of Heaven Way Champion International Ministry Evangelist Patricia Asiedua Oduro also known as Agradaa has been granted GHc150,000 bail by the Accra Circuit Court 10.
This comes a week after she was granted bail by Accra Circuit Court 9.
Agradaa, who is facing charges of 6 counts of defrauding by fault pretense and charlatanic advertisement has been ordered to deposit her passport at the court registry.
Her bail conditions consist of 3 sureties of whom one must be justified with landed property.
Case has been adjourned to November 15, 2022
The Police have arrested Patricia Asiedua, alias Nana Agradaa, following allegations of money doubling scam levelled against her by some members of the public.
The suspect is currently assisting police investigation.
“Anyone who is a victim of the alleged money doubling scam should report to the Accra Regional Police Command for further action to assist the investigation”, police said in a statement.
Nana Agradaa is said to have announced the alleged money doubling taking place at her church, Heaven Way Church in Weija, Accra via her TV station.
Thousands of her worshippers later besieged the church premises to claim their seed money.
Nana Agradaa, a one-time traditional priestess, is widely known for her moneymaking ritual, ‘sika gari’ in the past.
She was some time back arrested for operating two TV channels – Thunder TV and Ice1 TV – that allegedly broadcast money- doubling content at Kasoa in the Central Region without licenses and contrary to section 137 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960.
She was later convicted and sentenced to a fine of GHS36,000 on the charge of operating a Television station without a licence, and GHS10,000 on the charge of “charlatanic advertisement”.
