Former President John Dramani Mahama has stated that the NPP Government is overburdening businesses in the country.
According to him he is disheartened by they way businesses in the country are crawling on their knees as a result of the reckless management of the economy.
He stated among others that the cocoa industry was going forward during the NDC era and for that matter farmers were enjoying the fruit of their labour.
The flag barer aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2024 general elections expressed disappointment about the abysmal mismanagement of the cocoa syndication which has adversely affected cocoa farmers and the industry at large.
John Mahama made the statement Dormaa during his second day of visit all the 12 constituencies of the region to campaign directly and interact with branch and constituency executives of the NDC as well as confirming his decision to contest the NDC presidential primaries scheduled for 13th May 2023.
