Jan.& Feb.2023 alone more than 1K nurses left the country due to poor condition of service -President of GRNMA

The Ghana registered nurses and midwives association says more than one thousand nurses and midwives have left the country between January and February this year.

According to the association in November 2022 alone more than five thousand nurses and midwives left the country..

President of GRNMA Perpetual Ofori Ampofo interacted with our news team.

She called on the government through the ministry of health to put down an immediate measures to allow nurses and midwives professionals to stay in Ghana and render their services to support healthcare delivery.

She says government must put down an attractive condition of service package to support the nurses and midwives in the country especially those in the rural areas.

The Ghana registered nurses and midwives association has also called for immediate procurement of the immunization vaccines without delay.

According to the association the shortage has resulted in challenges at the various health post and has called on minister of health to act swiftly.

She was reacting to the shortage of vaccines in Accra.
