A/R: 27 of 49 students of Ejuraman Anglican SHS discharged from Hospital

Twenty-seven of the forty-nine students of Ejuraman Anglican SHS have been discharged from the Ejura Government Hospital after their school’s dining hall collapsed on them.

The structure caved in after a downpour in the area, checks reveal all but one of the students are in stable condition.

The only severe case recorded is a fracture on the leg of a female student.

The student has been transferred to the Jamasi Government Hospital for further treatment.

Three more students from the school were rushed to the Ejura Government Hospital for treatment, Tuesday morning.

This brought the number of students admitted at the Hospital to forty-nine. Calm has returned to the school with academic activities ongoing.

Municipal Chief Executive for Ejura Dr Kingsley Osei was grateful to God no student lost his or her life.

He said the Assembly is making frantic efforts to get a new and safe dining room for the students.

“We are putting things together find an emergency place to the pantry staff to cook for students, preparation is also on its way to get temporal dining hall for the students”.

The National Disaster Management Organisation is already on the ground to assess damage and possible relief.

Director General of NADAMO Nana Agyemang has been speaking to the media on immediate interventions from his outfit.
