Leadership of the National Democratic Congress led by Chairman Aseidu Nketiah has made changes in the leadership of the Party in Parliament.
Notable voices that won’t be heard championing the case of opposition in Parliament are Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu and Muntaka Mohammed who have been axed.
In a letter cited by Akoma News signed by General Secretary Fiifi Kwetey and addressed to the Speaker of Parliament, the Party has selected Dr Cassiel Ato Forson as the Minority Speaker.
Until his appointment, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson was the Ranking Member on the Finance Committee.
Dr Ato Forson is MP for Ajumako Eyan Esiam constituency in the Central Region.
Deputy Minority Leader is now Emmanuel Kofi Armah Buah, who was on the Mines and Energy Committee. A Former Minister of Energy, Emmanuel Kofi Armah Buah is MP for Ellembelle in the Western Region
Minority Whip position now goes to Kwame Agbodza MP for Adaklu Constituency in the Volta Region
First Deputy Whip position allocated to Ahmed Ibrahim MP for Banda in the Bono Region and second Deputy Whip maintained by Comfort Doyoe Ghansah, MP for Ada Constituency.
