Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia Resigns & Cross-Carpet from NDC to Join NPP in 2008

Like father like son, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia betrayed NDC in 2007 and later joined NPP in 2008, accepting the Vice-Presidential candidate position from Nana Akufo-Addo.

PNDC/NDC through the father of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia fully sponsored the Education of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia helping him to pursue his First degree and Master’s degree in the United Kingdom as well as his PhD in Canada when his father, Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia was serving as a Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and later as the Chairman of the Council of State.

After graduation, through the influence of his father as the longest serving Chairman for the Council of State, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was fully employed by the NDC Government at the Bank of Ghana but unfortunately betrayed NDC in 2007.

Similarly his father, Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia equally RESIGNED & CROSS-CARPET From UP to CPP and From CPP to PNDC/NDC.

History is always there to guide us and it is good for Ghana’s democracy.

Dr. Bawumia’s Family Has Benefitted Long Enough From the Resources of Poor Ghanaians since the era of Gold Coast.

1. Just like his Boss Nana Akufo-Addo, the family of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has benefitted tremendously from the taxpayers money since the era of Gold Coast.

2. Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia, the father of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia served as Chairman of the Council of State from 1993 to 2000 under NDC and the Presidency of J. J. Rawlings.

3. Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia, the father of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia after RESIGNING from the United Party(now NPP) whilst still in Parliament on the ticket of UP, CROSS-CARPET to the Convention People’s Party(CPP) in 1958 and served in the Government of Kwame Nkrumah in the following roles:

(a). Minister for Works & Housing
(b). Minister for Local Government
(c). Northern Regional Minister
(d). Special Development Commissioner for Accra

4. Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia, the father of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia later CROSS-CARPET to the Military Government of General Ignatius Kutu Acheampong and served as the Interim Chairman for the Management Committee of the Cocoa Marketing Board.

5. In 1988, Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia, the father of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia again CROSS-CARPET to the Military Government of PNDC under the leadership of J. J. Rawlings.

J. J. Rawlings appointed Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia, the father of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as Ghana’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.

6. From 1993 to 2000, NDC Government appointed Alhaji Mumuni, the father of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the longest serving Chairman for the Council of State in the 4th Republic.

7. As a Chairman for the Council of State under the NDC, Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia, the father of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia tremendously undermined, worked and campaign against the opposition NPP from 1993 to 2000 yet when NPP won the 2000 General elections his son Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was appointed as Deputy Governor for Bank of Ghana since at the time the Former President decided to operate an All-inclusive Government bringing on board non-members of NPP into his Government including Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom.

Under the All-inclusive Government Policy of former President Kufuor, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia joined the NPP Government as a Non-cardbearing member of NPP.

8. As Ghana’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia under PNDC/Rawlings Government, Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia successfully secured Scholarship and Visa for his son Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to attend University in the United Kingdom for First Degree and Master’s degree as well as his PhD in Canada.

9. In 2007, through the influence of Prof. Ken Attafuah(Bawumia’s Chief of Staff) and Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko(De Facto Prime Minister), Candidate Nana Akufo-Addo chose the Son of Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia, a PNDC/NDC Member to be his Vice-Presidential Candidate for 2008 general elections and subsequently as the Current Vice-President of Ghana occupying the enviable position for the last 16 years. If not for greedines why must the Akyems Cabal still be determine to impose Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on the necks of the NPP as the 2024 Presidential candidate using some unwise Ashanti Block against Alan Kyerematen, something which they planned as captured in the “Agyapadie Book”.

10. The father-in-law (Alhaji Ahmed Ramadan, former National Chairman of PNC) and brother-in-law(Abu Ramadan, former National Youth Organizer of PNC) of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia are all serving in Akufo-Addo/Bawumia’s Government in well respected portfolios.

Meanwhile, thousands of NPP cardbearing Members and Polling Station Executives are SUFFERING under their own Government.

11. During the 2020 general elections, the Office of Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia heavily sponsored and secretly supported his brother-in-law(Hon. Mohammed Adamu Ramadan) to defeat Hon. Yaw Buaben Asamoah the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Adenta Constituency. A case of family interest over Party’s interest.

Both Nana Akufo-Addo, the Class Prefect and Dr. Bawumia the Assistant Prefect should EXIT TOGETHER from the Presidency in 2024
