A Fifty two year old Baraka Horsu demands justice and social support after accused of witchcraft by her step sons, she was allegedly slashed with a cutlass, resulting in the loss of her right arm and a disfigured face.
Baracka Horsu’s current predicament was made known to us by a relative.
She resides at Korkormu,one of the rural communities in the Akwapem north municipality of the Eastern Region. Barracka Horsu could barely give a hand shake due to the injury and loss of arm
Four months ago, she was allegedly slashed with cutlass by persons she identified as her step sons on her way from a public wash room in the night on suspicion that she is a witch
Losing the right arm, currently disabled and unable to engage in any meaningful activity means no livelihood for her.
Her left hand is not in good condition either.
She is now dependent on her children and relatives for basic needs in her family house and for fear of been attacked again ,she cannot return to her husband’s home.
She wants justice delivered, because her perpetrators have been granted bail. Barracka Horsu calling on the police to bring her perpetrators to book .
