Workers of Kumasi Metro Mass Transit Depot Abrepo junction as precise have had embarked on strike left hundred of passengers stranded.

Information gathered by uniquenewsgh.com indicate the workers demand the removal of the Managing Director and his two deputies from office.

Some of the workers revealed to unique newsgh.com in an interview that, the government is owning them arrears
for past three months now.

“Several petitions have made to the Managing Director but proven futile,”workers lamented.They also accused Executives and management using fuel excessively

“For the past five years, no Metro Mass Transit Worker had received a full salary.

After 20 years of operations, MMTL has no salary structure,”workers disclosed.

But the frustrated stranded passengers who are traveling to their various destinations across the Ashanti region don’t have any option rather than subjected to boarding inter-city buses with high fare.

 

According to the workers,the strike will continue pending until the arrears hit their accounts.
