Ahafo Region: 27-year-old man allegedly murdered his 60s mother at Woromso

A 27-year-old Kwame Boat is in police custody for allegedly murdering his 60-year-old biological mother with name Abrewa Nni Nkran, in cold blood at Woromso in the Asutifi South District of the Ahafo Region.

The suspect is believed to be mentally unstable.

The youth in the town, after discovering the body of Abrewa Nni Nkran, mobilized themselves and stormed the surrounding bush in search of the suspect.

Fortunately, the youth were able to arrest the suspect and handed him over to the police for investigation and prosecution.

The Assembly member for Woromso Electoral Area Hon. Ernest Karim, who led the youth to arrest the suspect, explained that Kwame Boat started behaving strangely about a year ago which caused several troubles for the family.

The body of Abrewa Nni Nkran has been deposited at the Hwidiem St.Elizabeth hospital mortuary while the police have taken Kwame Boat Hwidiem police station for investigation.
