2,171 deaths recorded in road accidents between Jan. and November 2022-National Road Safety Authority

Board chair for National Road Safety Authority NRSA Jermaine Nkrumah has emphasized that the Authority has done enough to curtail road crashes and fatalities.

According to him, through its laudable road safety campaigns, stressing that the Authority would not renege on its responsibilities to upend accidents this yuletide.

Mr. Nkrumah has disclosed this in Accra at the launch of NRSA 2022 Christmas and New year campaign under the theme “Stay disciplined and responsible to sustain the gains “.

He maintained that accident has reduced significantly this year having 13, 276 vehicles involved in road crashes representing 8.35% as compared to last year.

Record of deaths in the crashes he has indicated is 2,171 representing 18.02% and 14, 249 injuries.

He cautioned motorists to adhere to traffic rules and regulations to curbs roads accidents during the New Year celebrations.
