20 passengers were hurt in a horrific collision between an STC bus and a tipper truck at the Gomoa-Buduata Junction.

STC bus with registration number GB-1079-20 fully loaded from Accra direction heading towards Takoradi failed to break and crash with a Kia truck with registration number GW -7932 -22 fully loaded with sand from Winneba direction at Gomoa Buduata this morning in the Gomoa East District.

Speaking with the Tipper truck driver Kwabena Tawiah said, after reaching Gomoa Buduata junction he saw the STC bus crossing from their lane to his lane going left and right on the road at a speed which clearly shows the STC bus driver was sleeping or had failed to break and crash with his car leading to the accident.

He said the majority of the injured persons were SHS Students and they have been rushed to Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital to receive treatment.
